Our story
The Odense brand was created in June 2020 on a whim: attracted for a very long time by the beauty of fine gemstones, Sophie wanted to create a collection of jewelry that looks like her, infused with the discretion of noble materials that would echo nature and minerals. This collection is made up of fine and discreet jewelry that gives a touch of elegance and dress up a colorful look. The jewels are assembled in a traditional way in her workshop at the gates of Paris.
Our jewelry
Our jewelry is crafted with fine gemstones. These are selected for their inclusions of color, their radiance, their energy and their “mystical” side. They come from all over the world, according to their filons, and their origins. To complete our collection, we also use natural stones, such as mother of pearl.
The photos on the site are not retouched which shows you the real shine of the stones. You may also find slight variations in color on your jewelry compared to the photos posted online, because I only use natural stones.
Here we also add findings and chains in 12k and 14k gold filled, and also in gold plated.
Why using gold filled?
Compared to most of the other gilding (classic gold plated), this is a more resistant material. A gold-filled jewelry does not cause an allergic reaction, it will oxidize much less quickly than a classic gold plated and is easier to clean. Water resistant, it will last a lifetime under normal use.
Technically speaking, this is a process of manufacturing a component for jewelry from a raw material composed of a layer of 12 or 14 karat gold mechanically pressed or hot affixed to a brass base. The weight of Gold is 1/20 of the total weight of the product, which is about 50 to 100 times more than in a gold-plated product. Gold-filled jewelry has the appearance of gold jewelry at a much lower cost. Guaranteed nickel free and allergy free.
To keep your jewelry for longer, we recommend that you avoid contact with perfume, skin oil and lotions. You will also need to store it in a cool, dry place.
All of our jewels are assembled by hand, in a traditional way, in small series in our workshop at the gates of Paris.
